DIRECTOR – ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS & TRAINING
(Level 7)

Excelsior College, a recognized world leader in distance higher education, is currently seeking applicants for the position of Director – Organizational Effectiveness & Training. Under the guidance of the Vice President for Human Resources and Administrative Services and the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources, this position will be responsible for assessing organizational needs and designing and implementing programs to meet this need. This position will provide leadership in the professional development of Excelsior College staff through training, mentoring, and consultative efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, identify, design, and organize effective training programs and strategies tailored to enhance skills of all levels of staff; develop process to assess, measure, and report outcomes and training effectiveness; manage the annual individual Professional Development Program survey for all staff and analyze results for creation of training plan for the College; establish and carry out College-wide quarterly training plans in support of Professional Development plans; provide leadership in the professional development of Excelsior College staff through training, mentoring, and consultative efforts; plan and execute annual Staff Satisfaction Survey; Coordinate with Office of Human Resources to assist with problem identification, resolution, and employee relations concerns; Actively represent Excelsior in community activities, events, and organizations; Develop, measure, and adhere to annual budget for organizational development and training. Assist the Office of Human Resources with their diversity efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s required, Master’s degree preferred, in organizational development, organizational psychology, industrial relations, human resource management, or closely related field. Minimum of five years in a similar position, along with five years in human resources or related field. Prior responsibility in organizational development planning and execution is essential. Prior experience in higher education desired.
