Founded in 1964, the Hudson-Mohawk Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development is one of 150 local chapters nationwide. National ASTD is located in Virginia and has over 70,000 members in 100 countries worldwide. The Hudson-Mohawk Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development promotes workplace learning and development. We provide support and resources to professionals in areas such as Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Performance Improvement, Career Development, Knowledge Management, Training Design and Delivery, and Organizational Learning. The Hudson-Mohawk Chapter has approximately 200 members who work and live in the Capital Region. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise and are professionals employed in the public and private sector as corporate trainers, New York State agency trainers, and independent consultants. As our chapter continues to grow, our level of effort in supporting training professionals is both extensive and evolving. Most members join the chapter to:
You do not have to be a trainer to be a member. Membership in the chapter is open to those who have interests or responsibilities in training, human resource development and workplace learning and performance; are interested in advancing the objectives of the chapter and the Society; and subscribe to and are qualified under our bylaws. A chapter member in good standing is one who meets the requirements for membership, and whose dues are paid for the membership year. And by the way, we are a great resource for finding an experienced speaker on just about any topic of Learning & Performance. |
